THE ROAD UNTRAVELLED

There are two peoples living on an island . Both are people of conviction and faith and both have their personal "God" on their side. There is a road in the middle of the island that runs between their divinely ordained territories. People living on the one side of the road preach sharing and caring while those on the other preach purity of thought and deed. No one can remember who built the road and they don't know where it leads. No one has ever crossed the road to the other side and anyone getting too close--mostly children and old folks--are brought back and severely punished. Common sense says that there shall be no compromising with the the Devil who can often be seen standing in the middle of the road, trying to hitch a ride.
