STATE OF AFFAIRS

I am a State worker. I am in a Union. I have been in a Union for more than forty years. By comparison to the public sector, my salary is small and being shrunk with furlough days and lack of raises. Now I am being fingerpointed as being the cause of my state's financial woes because I am too greatly compensated. Maybe we should set up "Worth Panels" to determine every Americans salary. Should a software designer who makes video games to train your kids how to kill cops make as much as they do? How about NBA players? Is dropping a ball through a hoop worth millions? How much does Sookie from the Jersey Shore make? Is she worth it? How about those bankers? Wall Street? We the Little People are feeling punished. And those who actually do work for the common good are the most abused. Hopefully, Capitalistic Karma will eventually right things. Just hope it's in time to save my exorbitant State of Washington pension.
