THE MIDDLE WAY

It is not the coward's path, the middle way. It is balance. Veer too far to the right, swerve too far to the left and there is only the ditch. In the ditch the wheels of your once speeding vehicle spin without traction, going nowhere. You fume in righteous fury. You know you are right and would rather remain in the ditch than beg for a tow back towards the centerline. Meanwhile, the manmade problems of man clops down the road pulled by a team of oxen. You shake your fist and gun the gas, digging your wheels in deeper.
