AND....?

Regan's drip-drip economy is slow to recover. So, the solution is to vote the Black Man out and get us a Righteous Republican who will take us back to the economic policies that got us where we are now? Maybe the Federal Government should declare a Secession Day and all the States that want to leave can go form their own imperfect union, or no union at all but just a bunch a squabbling clans shooting at each other across imaginary borders. Those who care and believe it is their humanly responsibility to be of assistance to each other form the true Union and never have to drink Tea again. 

IT IS UP TO YOU

You, me, those guys over there, human beings of every artificial nationality, peoples of diversity who use differences to divide, followers of every religion seemly hellbent on destroying those of other beliefs, terrorists who terrorize  for terrorism's sake, haters who hate because it is such a rush, politicians suckle who at the golden calf, the righteous who die for their cause and take everyone with them: STOP IT! You are choosing disaster. There is enough for everyone. Good times are not boring. Bad times are not more interesting. The earth will abide. It is not the end of the world. The sun has enough fuel to last for a few billion more years, enough time to get our act together. Relax. Fix your damned financial systems. They are just elaborate games. Maybe you should learn the rules before you start to play. Feed each other. Look at Americans. There is obviously more than enough edibles to go around. Be nice. Calm down. Things have been worse. Does that make you feel better?

RETURNING TO DC: LUKEWARM WELCOME FROM CONGRESS--OH NO!

Hang in there, Mr. President. Do the right thing. Be pragmatic. Be logical. Be ethical and moral and just. Build your Profile in Courage. Don't be swayed by ideologues on either side of the aisle. They are running to or from something. They want to maintain their Congressional Healthcare and Retirement Plan. Be strong. Remember, Newt was for intervening in Libya before he was against it. Remember, the Left wants you to fail just as much as the Right.  Success is not an option for either. MAD (mutual assured destruction) is the goal. Stalemate. Blood Feud. Righteous Defeat. Jousting the Windmill. True leadership is a pain in the tuckus.

A HOUSE DIVIDED

One year after the Health Bill passes, MSNBC headline says that the nation is still divided. Duh? the US has been divided before and after the unCivil War and little has changed in ancestral hearts and minds.  The Blue and the Gray has just become the Red and the Blue. We like to claim we are the one shining beacon on the hill, unlike all countries before or after. If you disagree, we will castigate you like Galileo for claiming the earth went round the sun. To compromise and cooperate is to become French. And they are Catholic. Weak and groveling to the Pope. Stand up for the flag, boys! Stars and Bars forever!
